My goal in life is to get humans back into nature— individually and as a society. Fellow outdoor enthusiasts, any idea what field would be right for this?

As the title states, my primary goal is to get humans back into nature— both individually and as a society. While I’m incredibly grateful for the luxuries we have, and am not advocating going back to a purely “primal” lifestyle, I do think we need to be outdoors much more of the time and that our shelters should be primarily for resting and/or avoiding dangerous weather. I believe it is a matter of health and wellness and therefore is a bit of a public health crisis.

My dream is to ultimately help move our society toward one that is built around this concept— stores and homes would be more geared toward being outdoors, there would be many more outdoor activities and areas to go, our city centers would combine the best of our current luxuries and entertainment with being outdoors and natural living, etc. I want to find a way to bring our most popular hobbies, gaming and watching tv, outdoors. I would love to work on this as a career but have no idea what field this would be considered since my primary goal is first and foremost to get people outdoors but my secondary goal is to find a way to create a society in which people choose to be outdoors rather automatically because it’s so conducive.

Thanks for any input!
