Benchmade 42 price check

Looking to see the best way and going price for a benchmade 42. I have a 42 serrated blade that I got back in 2005 that has just been sitting around for the last 10 years. Looking online they were getting some insane prices for them. All in all it’s in good-great condition. I don’t have the box or paperwork with it (no clue they were going to get to this level) but am sending it in to Benchmade to get the blade serviced today. I know they check for authenticity so maybe that would help with not having the box or paperwork.

Thoughts or ideas? I know people are worried about fakes so no clue on the best approach. I have an eBay account set up with good ratings, but have also seen old posts on gun broker. Problem with that would be a brand new account which is a red flag.

Gun show maybe? Just thought of that. I’m in central WI so we get our fair share.

Thanks for any help.
