I have 5 months with no obligations before I start work, looking to volunteer

I have 5 months before I head to TBS as a 2nd Lt. In that time I have no job and no obligations. I want to go somewhere that will basically let me do some sort of volunteering activity in exchange for either living facilities or money that I can live off of.

Willing to go anywhere, I want the experience.

Any ideas?
