Question on boots

I'm looking to buy waterproof hiking boots. I don't need to carry a lot of weight and want to use them in the summer so no need for insulation. I already have winter hunting boots.

Should I go with backpacking boots anyway? I hear they're a lot stiffer and really only good if you're backpacking a bunch of days in a row.

I really like Scarpa's Terra GTX. Any other boots I should consider?
